Effective date: October 20, 2026
This website, www.goss.law, belongs to Goss Law, Inc., the law practice of attorney Blair Goss, 2000 L St, Suite 250, Sacramento, CA 95811. This policy explains what information the site collects, how I use it, and who else handles it. “I” and “me” mean Blair Goss and Goss Law, Inc.
What you send me
If you use the “Tell Me What Happened” form, it asks for your name, phone number, email address (optional), whose case it is, your city or county, and a description of what you need help with. The form sends this straight to my office email inbox, which is hosted by Google. The website itself doesn’t keep a copy, and the form contents aren’t stored in a database or logged on the website.
I use what you send to contact you, to decide whether I can help, and to check for conflicts of interest. I treat what a prospective client tells me as confidential, as the rules for lawyers require. Still, email and web forms aren’t perfectly secure, so share only what I need to understand your situation. Sending a message doesn’t make me your lawyer; see the terms of use.
If you call (916) 313-3133, my answering service takes your name, phone number, and a short message for me.
What the site collects automatically
- Hosting and security. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- Spam protection. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks whether a visitor is a person or a bot. To do that, it looks at information from your browser and device.
- Analytics. I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they found the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology, and Google may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites. I don’t use it to identify you. You can block it with your browser’s settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The site doesn’t use advertising cookies, and it has no comment section or user accounts.
Who I share information with
I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing. The companies above (Google, Cloudflare, and my answering service) handle information only to provide their services to me. I may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect my rights or the safety of others.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so this site doesn’t change what it does when it receives one. You can still block cookies and analytics as described above.
Links to other websites
The site links to other websites, such as Google Maps and Google reviews. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from them online. Parents of a child with a juvenile case are welcome to contact me.
Seeing or correcting what you sent
You can ask what information you sent me through the site, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. I may need to keep some records to meet my duties as a lawyer, such as conflict checks. Use the contact information below.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I’ll post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
